Gender Free Fragrances — Studio Brief 02 — OUGD505

In the past few years, the rise of gender fluidity has prompted marketing to continue to grow with the times.

This means premium products such as fragrances are becoming less and less 'for him' and 'for her', more 'for him & her' and it is only a matter of time before these fragrances are adopted over the traditional counterparts.

CK are not strangers to this concept as the previous unisex fragrance, CK One, released over two decades ago received nothing but positivity, the successor, CK2 aims to provide the same effect in regards to Millennial's, further encouraging gender fluidity that is becoming so common in the past few years.

More fragrances that offer the same gender fluidity below:

Escentric Molecules Molecule 01

Acqua di Parma Colonia Eau de Cologne Natural Spray

Atelier Cologne Cédrat Enivrant

In regards to the design of these fragrances, they all seem to use safe, neutral colours that have never really been related to either genders. This is somewhat positive and negative, it gives a broader reach for the product to be adopted, however defeats the object of being gender fluid. This meaning that the use of stereotypically gender specific colours can, and should be used within the designs. Something that is going to be done within the designs for the publication and other products that are being produced for this module.
