An article on the Guardian has documented what writers and artists think money would mean in a 'changed world', in other words, to imagine what it money would mean in a world with no economy.
'Global economic meltdown, the euro crisis and Occupy protests – this year has been dominated by financial issues. But what is money anyway? We invited writers and artists including Jonathan Franzen, Margaret Atwood and Naomi Klein to invent new currencies and banknotes for a changed word.' (Source)
This is a great way to visually represent a hypothetical note that would be used in a world with no currency — this would also be very apt for this particular module in particular.
Taking a more political route would be a great way to give the notes a much more raw meaning and supply a greater and more specific response the brief. However, applying this to the concept of a Martian currency is a lot more difficult than it first seems as there is no politics or money on Mars. So having researched into this particular route, it is clear that it would be more refreshing to take advantage of the natural wonders that Mars has to offer.
