As I have left stock choice last minute, I was advised in my feedback hat I should think about it a bit more, so I went to the library and gathered some sheets that looked grainy, matted, neutral and around 150gsm.
All of the paper I have chosen are only 5p at A1*, and cheaper when in bulk, so production cost really wouldn't be and issue.
The three different types of stock I chose above, one a more darker shade than the others, I have already ruled this out because I want the plants colours to be brighter rather than washed out.
The darkest stock (sugar paper). I like the grain effect of this but it is simply too dark, I do however think that if the was a few shades lighter it would be perfect, however this was;t available at the time.
My personal favourite, a heavy newsprint. This is the perfect weight and shade for the leaflet. Not too much grain so the type won't become distorted into the background and nice light shade for the images to pop out.
This one I wasn't too sure about in the first place. One side is a matte grain and the other is slightly glossy so I don't like the inconsistency and think that the slightly glossy almost satin effect will look too tacky.
