I wanted to double check the printer and what the output orientation is, this is to be able to do a full colour prototype before going into digital print.
B&W mock-up
I made the outlines invisible and the crop marks visible to ensure a clean cut when I need it.
This helped me figure out how the printer worked and gave me the ability to create this prototype:
The laser printer has given the proto a really nice faded effect to the imagery, but to my annoyance, I never gave the tone enough time to dry and adhere to the paper, so when I fed the paper back through with the reverse side, the toner just spread and became smudged. This won't be an error once I use the proper protocol and use the duplex facility in digital print.
