Colour - Studio Brief 02 - OUGD504

Picking colour was't much of a hassle for this identity, as I have documented in a past post that a current logo used orange. So I went about choosing a shade of orange that would be cheap and ensure constancy throughout different products. I want to include a matt finish, so naturally, I went for the solid uncoated Pantone system.

I added this colour to my Swatch Palette and saved it. I want to use as little colour as possible to keep production costs down, and using a spot colour such as this 'Pantone Bright Orange U' eliminates the need to use the traditional mixture of CMYK to just a single ink that is unique to that product.
