In the brief, it states that the title of the publication must be Type in Context: "Location", however, this poses a slight issue within my work, as I have taken images in multiple places, Manchester, Liverpool and Southport. Having said this, there'a a possibility that I could broaden the 'area' in which the context is, and simply categorise it as 'North West'.
With plenty of industrial influences, I want the style of bind and layout of my book to reflect this. So use of industrial materials that compliment the images more than just using a bit of greybeard and paper to create a bind. This gave me the idea of using materials such as wood and metal to create the bind, instead of traditional techniques. This could also lead into other techniques and process' such as laser etching for the typography in the wood of the outer covers.
I want to put as many techniques as I can into this publication, as I really want to be able to utilise the skills I learn in this brief and implicate them into future projects. With this being a 4 week brief, I feel I will be able to accomplish this fairly easily with the time given as all of the content is already there, I just have to work on purely design related considerations which leaves me with more time to play around with other techniques.
