A-Z: Type in Context - Summer Brief - OUGD504

Brief Breakdown

To represent the influences of type in todays diverse world through the use of photography. Each letter of the alphabet must correspond with an image as well as a short passage in the context of which the image was taken, in other words, use analytical language to represent how well the given typography communicates. Use the gathered images and copy to create a short 5-10 minute presentation to show to my peers what I have collated.

Initial Thought's

When the brief was given to us, I found my mind going into overdrive with idea's that I could narrow down a decent concept to stick to. If there is anything I have a keen eye on, it's how the world around us influences my own attitude towards design. I often fixate myself to a certain piece of design or anything of the likes when walking in new environments. This made me want to branch out and go somewhere were I have never previously ventured before as I often have many opinions on type I have seen previously. This would mean I could go into the project with a fresh mind and analyse the type for what it really is, rather than for what I personally think about it.
